TERMS OF USE
Terms of Use
Effective and last updated: October 17, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern use of the iPhone application Pattern Line (“App”) provided by Keito Murakami (“Developer”).
1. Agreement
By downloading or using the App, the user agrees to these Terms. If the user does not agree, they must not use the App. Minors should obtain consent from a parent or guardian where required.
2. License
Subject to these Terms and the App Store terms, the Developer grants the user a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on compatible devices the user owns or controls. The App is licensed, not sold.
3. App content
The App is an entertainment puzzle game in which users compare START and GOAL grids and arrange operations such as rotation, flipping, movement, and coloring in the correct order. It provides ENDLESS MODE and a STAGE MODE with 300 puzzles. The Developer may reasonably change game content, stages, difficulty, ads, hints, or other features.
4. Ads and hints
The free version displays banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads. A hint is generally provided only after the relevant rewarded ad is watched to completion and the ad service confirms completion. Ads or hints may be unavailable due to connectivity, ad inventory, device settings, consent choices, or third-party service interruption.
5. Remove Ads purchase
Remove Ads is a non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple StoreKit. After purchase, the App does not display banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads, and hints are available without watching video ads. Purchases, billing, refunds, and purchase eligibility are governed by Apple’s terms and systems. Users can select Restore Purchases in the App to restore a purchase associated with the same Apple Account.
The purchase does not guarantee that the App will remain available forever in the event of operating-system changes, legal or technical requirements, or discontinuation of the App.
6. Prohibited conduct
Users must not:
- violate applicable law, these Terms, or public policy;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or seek to derive source code except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
- modify, copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the App;
- fraudulently manipulate the App, ads, purchases, hints, scores, or related systems;
- gain unauthorized access to, overload, interfere with, or bypass security of third-party services; or
- infringe the rights or legitimate interests of the Developer or any third party.
7. Intellectual property
Intellectual property rights in the App, its design, text, graphics, software, and other components belong to the Developer or the relevant rights holders. These Terms do not transfer those rights to users.
8. Saved data and warranties
The Developer does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, availability on every device or OS, or complete preservation or restoration of game progress or other on-device data. Data may be lost due to device failure, OS updates, App deletion, or similar events.
9. Reasonable limitation of liability
Except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the Developer’s liability for damage arising from the App is limited to ordinary and direct damage to the extent permitted by applicable law. This does not exclude or restrict liability where exclusion or restriction is prohibited by consumer protection or other mandatory law, nor does it unlawfully restrict a user’s statutory rights.
10. Changes and discontinuation
The Developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App for maintenance, incident response, legal or platform-policy compliance, or other reasonable reasons. Where practicable, notice will be provided in the App or on this website.
11. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be revised where reasonably necessary due to changes in law, App features, or related circumstances. Material changes will be announced appropriately. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires separate consent.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The parties will first seek to resolve disputes in good faith. If unresolved, courts in Japan will have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer protections in the user’s place of residence remain unaffected.
